Logikos nemažai, kai Europos teritorijai fiziškai iš abiejų pusių yra teritorinė grėsmė, tai Kinija blogiukė ar ne bent jau nėra grėsmė, kad okupuos kurios nors Europos šalies teritoriją. Beto Europai irgi reikia turėti kažkokių didesnių sąjungininkų pasaulyje.

Ir būtinai ES prie kažko klijuotis? Daugiau gyventojų už JAV, didesnė ekonomika. JAV kažkodėl gali būti supergalia, o ES ne. Gėda, toks potencialas ir neišnaudojamas kaip priklauso. Be jokių pateisinamų priežasčių. Kinijos gigantas ilguoju laikotarpiu jokie ne draugai. Pavojinga susidėti su daugiau nei dvigubai didesne galia kuri kultūriškai ir istoriškai su Europa neturi nieko bendro ir vargu ar turi kokių sentimentų.
