Ar skaitei kaip skamba 5 straipsnis? Nieko nėra parašyta, kad narės privalo padėti ginti. Tiesiog, kad NATO narės laiko, kad vienos iš jų užpuolimas, leidžia kitoms ginti jos teritoriją lyg savo. T.y. pagal tarptautinės teisės normas tai turėtų skaitytis kaip gynyba.

Tai kad ne tas vietas paryškinęs buvai, aš šiek tiek pagelbėjau. "As it deems necessary" - taip, kaip mano esant reikalinga. Pvz, Vokietijos atveju galbūt tai būtų griežti susirūpinimai, kategoriški pasmerkimai, ir panašiai.

Jei Vokietijai išreiškus susirūpinimą bus pasiektas 5 straipsnio tikslas (to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area), fine by me. Jei Vokietijai išreiškus susirūpinimą šis tikslas nebūtų pasiektas, o kažko daugiau Vokietija nesiimtų, nors NATO vyr. vadas ir objektyvi karinė situacija reikalauja Vokietijos pajėgų įsitraukimo, o šios dėl kažkokių kaprizų atsisako, tai WTF??Tokiu atveju Vokietija bus laikoma pažeidusi 5 straipsnį už kurį jokios realios atsakomybės nėra, nes nėra kažkokio "NATO antstolio", kuris pagal kažkokį "NATO teismo sprendimą" įpareigotų Bundeswehr atremti grėsmę. Tikėtina, kad tokiu atveju arba įvyktų NATO skilimas arba Vokietija būtų išmesta iš šios organizacijos.

Klausimas yra kitas - kaip tas parašymas virs realiais darbais, o tie darbai tūri būti tokie, kad būtų atstatyta ir išlaikyta apsauga Šiaurės Atlanto zonoje (grubiai verčiant).

Speaking at a conference at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Kissinger urged the United States and the West to not seek an embarrassing defeat for Russia in Ukraine, warning it could worsen Europe’s long-term stability.

After saying that Western countries should remember Russia’s importance to Europe and not get swept up “in the mood of the moment,” Kissinger also pushed for the West to force Ukraine into accepting negotiations with a “status quo ante,” which means the previous state of affairs.

Su generolo laipsniu jis 2012 metais pabandė "parodyti klasę" treniruočių skrydyje pažeisdamas skrydžio planą, pateko aukštyn kojom į suktuką, nesugebėjo išvesti ir teko katapultuotis. Tokiu būdu techniškai tvarkingas Su-27 buvo įsmeigtas į žemę. Dėl ryšių/pažinčių išsisuko tik atleidimu iš tarnybos. Dabar matyt dalyvavo kaip laisvai samdomas specialistas :-)

Apie šitą veikėją pamenu kažka pasakojo, gal buvęs KGB kadras Švecas, kad bandė lyg jį verbuot Maskva ar nupirkt kažkaip. Nelabai tik supratau LRT straipsnio apie tai, ten kartu ir sako jis, kad idealiu variantu sienos turėtų grįžti į prieškarinį variantą. O Zelenskis ar jo aplinka ir anksčiau yra kalbėję apie sienų grąžinimą iki vasario 24d. Šiaip tas pasakymas, kad rusija per daug nesuartėtų su KInija nieko neprimena? WARSAW—The Czech Republic has donated attack helicopters to Ukraine, and, along with Slovakia, has allowed Ukraine's military to send dozens of armored vehicles across their borders for repairs, before returning to the conflict, a significant escalation in Western support for the country in its fight with Russia. The helicopters—Soviet-designed Mi-24 gunships—were deployed to Ukraine in recent weeks, part of a broader effort to help the country reclaim parity in its own airspace. U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin thanked the Czechs for their donation during public comments after a meeting of allied defense officials Monday.
The gifts make the Czech Republic—which in April became the first NATO country to report donating tanks to Ukraine—the first to give Ukraine attack helicopters as well. The country also donated the majority of the 17,000 anti-tank weapons that NATO allies gave Ukraine during the first two weeks of the war, U.S. and Czech officials said. Its neighbor Slovakia donated an S-300 to help Ukraine reclaim some control over its air space. The assistance shows how the eastern flank of the NATO military alliance is increasingly serving as a key supplier for Ukraine as the country wages what has become a large-scale conventional conflict. Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic have all donated major weapon systems to Ukraine, in part because, as former members of the Communist bloc, the three militaries still retain spare parts and shared expertise for Ukraine's Soviet-designed equipment. Their governments also generally view Ukraine’s fight with Russia as existential for their own independence.
In April, Slovakia provided an S-300 surface-to-air missile system to Ukraine. In return, the U.S. sent a Patriot missile battery, a comparable system, to Slovakia, to help defend Slovak air space. The Czech Republic sent slightly more than a dozen modernized, Soviet-designed T-72M tanks to Ukraine, alongside 10,000 rocket-propelled grenades, howitzer artillery pieces and BMP-1 amphibious tracked infantry fighting vehicles.
