Blimey alludes to the targeted large scale operation changing user titles, avatars and signatures in January following John's and my banishment (eventually that of Edd as well, and let's not forget pablonis), not to mention all the deleted threads. OK. We all know that that wasn't the job of a hacker but that those alterations of user data & insignia were performed by the mod squad.

I suspect the same is true in the instant case. Good luck in tracking down and punishing the guilty!

With my last phrase up there I was cheering on him who announced he'd track down & punish the guilty. And OF COURSE it was an inside job, i.e., perpetrated by "staff."

Well, yesterday I talked to coth and he told that he and some other admin are responsible for that. He told that it was a warning for me for "interferring him".

How cozy! And in what remarkable shape SSC warnings are issued these days!

Now let's remember that coth is a regional mod (limited powers) and not a Euromod (greater powers)and not an admin (mighty and powerful). In other words, he solicited and received help from somebody higher up.

It's clear that SCity, at least in the Euroscrapers section, is staffed by several people with personal and/or political biases and hangups who are out on vendettas targeting individuals who somehow rub them the wrong way. Their fellow staffers, be they of the same rank, superior, or admins, obviously tend to support them in their personal peeves.

Vytauk is right: such ad hominem attacks ought to be beneath the dignity of any decent forum.

Right. coth didn't do it himself because he can't, but he has friends in high places whom he asked to do it for him. How wonderful!

Now this particular friend, gothicform the invisible overlord of all of Euroscrapers, the very person who, equipped with his powers, followed through on coth's request, appears to have once again overstepped the boundaries of impartiality and neutrality for personal reasons. This, of course, is quite contrary to the qualities the 6 people of his status are presumed to possess. Just like with the banishments of John and me to please Detritus, he once again did a favor to one of his devoted bootlickers. How wonderful!

Wotta place. With people like him in charge, little wonder it's beginning to lack credibility more and more.

Unbelievably that adult people, that is even responsible for an internet-forum can behave like that! Unbelievably! It shows their lack of mental capabilities.

I discovered another case of political bias and cowardness today. The thread "Boycott Canada", that dealth with Canadian seal-hunt is gone. The thread went along for pages without interruption from the mods or admins, with Canada-bashing and pictures of killed seals. Then I started asking some critical questions. Not beeing offensive in any way, I asked why there is no public uproar because of how animals are treated in the EU and Australia during transport(it is a catastrophy, thousands of sheeps, horses etc die every year of exhaustion, dehydration, stress, electro-shock and so on). Then suddenly, the thread disapears. Not locked, no warnings, no explanation. Just gone. Guess I hit a nerve!

I hardly followed that thread, once I had seen the initial photos & fingerpointing. It's so easy to find fault elsewhere and gloat over it while ignoring one's own shortcomings! And so you poured a bucket of the cold water of reality into the mix and the thread disappeared? Sigh.
