Peilius fotkinau specialiai šiam konkursui, taigi bent jau įdėjau šiek tiek pastangų (juokingai turėjau iš šalies atrodyti kilnodamas po virtuvę blizgų miegmaišio kilimėlį ir juo gaudydamas šviesą).

Kadangi nemažai mūsų vis mokomės čia truputis amerikoniškos kritikos šiai nuotraukai.

The lighting is outstanding, Giedrius -- you did an excellent job of positioning the lights so that we see the texture and color of the steel rather than reflections.

The image is rotated .25 degrees counterclockwise. I know this is a tiny thing, but my eyes saw it before I checked, and in an image like this that has so many horizontal and vertical lines, it stands out. Simply rotating the image in postprocessing fixes the horizontal (except for very minor pincushion) and the line of grout on the right. But the line of grout on the left still slants inward from bottom to top because of the angle of the camera with respect to the wall. You can reshoot, being more careful to put your camera sensor parallel to the wall. But I think it would be more effective to use a longer lens; this 50mm will always have a little pincushion at such a close focal plane.

Your excellent technical work and the carefully maintained knives are not strong enough to carry the image very far -- it needs stronger graphical elements. The red l'econome helps; but I think you need something bolder. A large plant leaf? A steaming roast in the foreground? A colorful dishtowel? The image needs something that brings in bolder color, that breaks the symmetry, and that has a soft texture.

Bet kadangi čia kontekstas buvo "Raudona" tai gal ir nuotraukos turinys kitaip truputį galėjo atrodyti.
