Two weeks ago I have visited one nice town in the NW Siberia, the region called Yugra. Khanty-Mansiysk is the capital. It's small but vibrant town, I liked it very much.
Let's begin from local nature, the Irtysh River, from a hill.
Samarovo is the oldest part of Khanty, located down to the river, but the city centre located among the hills.
On the right you may see the monument to the Yugra land discoverers.
