Jelenia Góra (German: Hirschberg im Riesengebirge) is a town in southwestern Poland. The name of the city means "deer mountain" in Polish and German.
Jelenia Góra is situated in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship (since 1999), previously capital of Jelenia Góra Voivodeship (1975-1998). Prior to 1945 it was one of the largest cities in the former German state of Silesia.
