That new airport terminal looks sweet. Just like those new airports in China and elsewhere in Asia. Poland is up to some really good stuff these days

Sky Tower has had recently breake for new project (first project assumed 254 m high tower, it was lowered to 212 m).
Now construction is rising quite fast, I think one floor each week. The tower construction started in july 2010, so in 5 months they managed to build 16 floors.

The whole Sky Tower complex will be huge - 171 000 sq meters.

* number of buildings comprising the complex: 3 (“Podium B1” - podium, “Wieża B2” - tower, “Żagiel B3” - sail)
* Number of apartments: 236 in total
o Building B2 – 184 apartments (of 10 different types)

* Office space – 21,987 m2
* Commercial space – 24,349 m2

The Complex will host, among others:

* 140 boutiques
* Delicatessen
* Health centre
* Restaurants and cafes
* Day spa
* Sports centre
* Class A+ open space offices with raised flooring and air conditioning (HVA

Intelligent Building


Sky Tower is one of the most technologically advanced buildings in Poland. Tenants and their guests will be served by 38 lifts, 6 of them high speed, moving at five metres per second.

Owners of the respective apartments will be able to regulate the temperature and humidity in each room according to their individual requirements. Picture windows will be covered with electric blinds to regulate the level of light in the interiors. Each window will also be equipped with an intelligent mechanism that will automatically close a window when the weather turns bad.

The building will also be protected by an advanced security system comprising CCTV monitoring, access control and fire prevention system.
