Taigi šiandien vakare padariau mažą foto-žygį po Vilniaus senamiesčio. Buvau užkopęs and Gedimino kalno ir Mindaugo arkų D ir apėjau keletą senamiesčio gatvelių. Taigi, pasidžiaukit mano darbu B-)
Labai garzu , Gedimino pr. kaip visad super atrodo, nepamirskim, kad nei Ryga, nei Talinas neturi nieko, kas nors is tolo prilygtu Gedimino prospektui
Si karta matau ir Katedros sventieji ant stogo apsviesti (kazko ne visada taip buna), tik varpines apsvietimas labai prastas, virsus isvis neapsviestas
It must still have been mighty cold, but I was SOOOO glad to see all those shots of and from Gediminas Castle!
The Castle does remain both a place to look down from upon thriving Vilnius and a beacon to be looked up to from below. AND it is an historic structure in its, own right? Am I correct in assuming this? I'm happy to see that it continues to dominate part of the Vilnius skyline! B-)
The Old Town places are simply enviable, fabulous and downright delicious!
Thank you WH, there were no that cold outside, even above 0 C
And you're right about the castle of Gediminas, it's a historical building as a remainings of an ancient castle where the founder of Vilnius, duke Gediminas had been ruling the grand duchy of LT
It's sunny and warm here in the SF part of the world in comparison to NE Europe alright--that's true! Yet, at this season and particularly in comparison with Southern California, it's still chilly early spring here.
We were down in Southern CA just last week and enjoyed the warmth (full summer temperatures!). It was strange to be in naked feet and sandals in the heat among the lush palms looking up at snow-topped mountains! I, as a European, will find that sight forever fascinating.
The good news: when we came back it was warm here, too!
