Parašė Tomas Rodyti pranešimąMane, kaip ne specialistą, LT RB projekto įgyvendinime labiausiai stebina vienas dalykas. Visada įsivaizdavau, kad geležinkelio tiesimui medžiagas ir įrangą racionaliausia vežti ... geležinkeliu. T.y. pradedi nuo taško, kuriame jau yra bėgiai (pvz. Palemono), ir varai pirmyn. Todėl keistai atrodo sprendimas pradėti statybą vidury laukų.
Bet LT rangovai turbūt neturi nei kompetencijos, nei įrangos bėgiams tiesti, todėl tiems darbams turės būti samdomos užsienio kompanijos. O jos dėl kelių km ruožo Lietuvon nevažiuos, imsis tik šimtų kilometrų užsakymo.
Į Palemoną mašinas atsiuntė ir dėl kelių kilometrų.

It should be noted that the modernization of the Ełk - Suwałki - state border section currently has no funding and is on the reserve list of the National Rail Program. Due to the above, it is not possible to clearly indicate the implementation date.
In January 2025, a tender procedure was announced to select a contractor for construction works as part of the above projects. Completion of construction works is planned for 2028. Full modernization is planned, along with the addition of a second track. After completion of the main works, it is planned to operate at a speed of up to 160 km/h for passenger trains and 120 km/h for freight trains. Increasing the speed to 200 km/h will be possible after the installation of the ERTMS/ECTS system implemented as part of a separate project.
The Ełk station was modernized as part of Phase I of the project entitled "Works on the E75 line on the Białystok - Suwałki - Trakiszki (state border) section, Stage I, Białystok - Ełk section". The final acceptance was carried out in October 2024. From December 2024, the speed was increased to 160 km/h for passenger trains and 120 km/h for freight trains. As part of the above-mentioned project, works were also carried out at the Ełk Szyba Wschód stop and the Ełk Towarowy technical station.
